What Happened

I'm hesitating to make my big announcement, yet, but basically, a lot happened since I sent my "Letter to the Tribe."

Basically, I AM moving to Costa Rica.

Changes, Changes

I sent this last week to everyone on my mailing list:

It's Thursday, and usually I send out the Pure Health and Nutrition e-zine today.

In fact, nearly every week for 2 years this is what I've done, every Thursday.

But today is different. Things are changing.

I don't want to tell you too much, but I'm preparing to make an announcement. Don't be misled, I'm not about to announce a new book or a new product, and this isn't some kind of marketing tactic.

You know, I've been working for the last 8 to 10 years trying to make a contribution in the raw food movement, and in that time, I've taught tens of thousands of people how to lead healthier lives.

I've always tried my best to be honest with you and let you know where I'm at in my life. I want to let you know, that recently I've been working a lot on something.

I've been working a lot on myself.

I've been working on my communication, on my personal strength, and on my ability to be a leader and to affect even greater change in people's lives.

And that's why I've decided that I will no longer continue to send my e-zine, Pure Health & Nutrition. Within a few weeks I will announce some major changes and let you know how these changes will affect you.

The only other thing I can say for now, is: Get excited!

Groundhog Day... new meaning

95m I don't watch a lot of TV, but yesterday I watched the classic comedy "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray and I hadn't watched that movie in a long time...

What struck me is that I finally got it! I mean I got something about the movie I didn't get when I was 18.

For those who don't know, the idea is that this arrogant and egocentric weatherman gets stuck in a small town for "Groundhog Day" and relives the same day over and over again. It becomes a nightmare as every day is the same, but he also eventually realizes he can do anything he wants because there is "no tomorrow."

When finally he wakes up to a new day, there's one thing that changed. I mean there's one thing that he did that changed his life and made him awaken to a new day instead of reliving the same day over and over again.

What he did is that he started giving and being of service, and became disillusioned with trying to get things for himself, which got him nowhere (being stuck in this boring town and reliving the same day over and over again).

So what I got from the movie is just basically the hidden moral behind this comedy. How many people are living the same days over and over? Every year is basically the same old story, right?

Same complaints, same problems in relationships, same whining of this "poor me"... reliving the same boring crap over and over.

Being centered on what you want gets you to places sometimes... but it's not to transformation and not to living a "new day" and a "new life."

Giving and caring for others and being of service is ultimately what serves the individual.

And even though Jesus said it and great leaders said it in their own words, you can find that hidden meaning in all sorts of stories, even the not-so-serious movie "Groundhog Day."

So watch the movie again and tell me how that resonates with you...

Personal Work, and Why It Changes Everything

I haven't expressed this publicly, but I've been doing a lot of "personal work" lately. Mainly, looking into who I am, my relationships with myself and others, and what my contribution to the world can be.

This brings me to make a very important choice that's going to impact all of my readers in a major way. Within the next few weeks, I'm going to take a break from publishing my e-zine "Pure Health & Nutrition." For the first time in at least a year, there's not going to be an e-zine that week.

Instead, there will be something much more important. I'm going to send you a letter telling you more about where I am in my life and how it's going to impact the work that I'm doing in the natural health movement. This letter will be unlike anything you have read before from me.

After that, anything will be possible. That's why I can't guarantee that my e-zine will continue, or that anything will continue in the same form it is now. Since after I send out that letter anything will be possible, you can count on me to choose the very best.

NOTE: I am feeling good! Don't expect some dramatic and shocking announcement. Just something really honest like you've never read before that's going to touch you and inspire you.

How to Make a Living Doing What You Love

A few of my readers participated last year in a teleseminar called "How to Make a Living in the Natural Health Movement." It's almost secret otherwise that I've been working on a course on making money doing what you love (also making money in the natural health movement), and at first this was going to be released last year, but the idea grew and grew into this monstrous project!

Finally it was going to be released as a 12-week course this September, but the project grew and grew again into something even bigger!

So I just want to let the word out that I have been working on a course on "How to Make a Living Doing What You Love" and in fact it won't just be a course but a complete, step-by-step system along with coaching that will be basically like a 1-year curriculum and will make it *impossible* for anyone taking it and doing their homework to not be earning a full-time living doing what they love without getting a job and living their true passion.

So, I now plan to release this in 2007, probably in February, but who knows.

The word is out! More on this later...

Australia, America, and other considerations...

Reading all the comments on my "Escape from America" topic, I'd like to make a few things clear.

One is that I'm not "anti-American" and in fact I love America. I lived for almost 3 years in California and loved it.

At this point, I feel like going elsewhere to live, where there is a lower cost of living and a better chance for me to become a permanent resident.

I would not consider an island as a long-term base but I do enjoy island living immensly!

I've considered Australia too but it's really far away... I would love to visit, but at this point considering a move there is pretty far-fetched.

At this point, my considerations are to have a place where my business partner can also come over and possibly move. She has kids and a boyfriend more reluctant to travel far away. So a place like Bali or Australia might be too far.

We also want to eventually (soon!) start doing retreats so the place has to be somewhere where people can easily travel to.

At this point my best choices are Panama and Costa Rica, unless of course some other opportunity comes up, maybe even as a result of exchanging with folks on this blog!

In the meantime, let's dream about some blue oceans...Istock_000000482653small

Porcupine Sighting!

I don't know if it's porcupine season or what, but it's the second day in a row that I meet a porcupine during my bike ride near my place! Actually, it was hanging out on the site of the bike trail and looked kind of lost. Maybe it's the same one... Next time I'll take my camera with me and take some pictures of my own...

By the way, I will write more about the "moving south" discussion and I thank you all for your wonderful comments... It gave me some great ideas.

Escape From America!

In my previous post I talked about my project of "moving south". I explained that I'm already at the point where I can live anywhere I want as long as I have a fast Internet connection, a phone, and friends :-)

So where to go? I've looked at different possibilities and came up with a series of "first choices" or "possibilities".

Obviously, it's not easy to decide where to go. Personally, I want to be somewhere I feel great and were I can continue to run my businesses.

My criteria are:

- Sunny and warm climate
- Interesting culture
- Availability and variety of fresh organic fruits and vegetables
- High-speed Internet connection and phone lines
- Hot raw babes, :-)
- Possibility of immigration/longterm living

It's hard to find the "perfect" place! But here where I'm at right now in this discussion.

Escaping the cold... an introduction

I mentionned that I was planning to "go live south", and I'd like to talk about this now because it's an interesting quest that you might be able to relate to at some point in your life, and writing about it makes it even more real for me.

Anyone who lives where I live or in a similar climate knows what I'm talking about. I grew up here (in Quebec), and let's be honest: the winters are brutal.

I'll keep the title for now

Judging on the response, I think I'll keep the title of the Blog for now. This blog isn't about selling stuff or acquiring new clients or traffic. Obviously, some people might find this site and not like the banner because of whatever personal issues they have to deal with, but I think if I'm going to be myself on this site, I'm going to keep my sense of humor, and my edginess.
